Sumita’s Self Defence Academy (SSDA) has been founded by Sensei Capt. Kaustav Nath in 2018 in order to train and equip Ladies and Children in full contact Karate and Self Defence. He is also the Chief Instructor of the Brand.
SSDA Training is headed by Sensei Capt. Kaustav Nath as Chief Instructor, Sensei Dipankar Bhattacharya as Sr. Instructor & Senpai Sumita Mukherjee Nath, 1st Dan Black Belt.
Senpai Nath has been practicing Kyokushin Karate since 1992. She herself trains regularly in fitness and various other martial arts to keep herself updated and fit.
Senpai was ranked 3rd in National Kata Tournament and practices Katas on a daily basis. She has also trained in Kali 3D, Krav Maga and Sanatan Shashtar Vidiya. This makes her a complete martial artist.
Senpai now trains ladies and children regularly through Online and Offline classes. Her youngest trainee being 4 years old and the eldest being 63. In 2020, Indian Business Women recognized and awarded her the title of The Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2020.
She also takes regular counselling of students on Dietary issues after completing her training in Dietary and Nutrition
